If you want state-of-the-art, realistic, 3d graphics, this game is not for you! Its a classic that Ive played regularly since its release. Its fun, with lots of challenges and simple gameplay.

I am so glad that this is available to play even though it was made in 1996!!! And it is easy to find, cheap, works well, and brings nostalgia to those who have been Tomb Raider fans since the 90s. Thank you SOOO much for making this available to customers with macs!!! I really appreciate it!!!

It runs better on the mac mini. Occasionally Lara gets stuck in the boat on the second level, but a game restart fixes it. Hoping to see more of the original tomb raider games brought to the store, especially Tomb Raider III and The Last Revelation :)

Game runs great on my mac! Nothing beats the classic Tomb Raiders! I just hope Aspyr publishes the rest of the classics in the franchise.

the controlls for the keyboard are insane and makes it hard to play. unless you have and know how to setup a gamepad or a joystick i dont recommend this port

So glad this has been released. Plays just like the original power pc days. I hope they release the rest of the chronicles

This is a great game runs well. But man! Im a Tomb Raider 3 guy myself. Really hope that comes out for the newer mac systems as well as (and dont hate me) Chronicles :) super clear and quick. Took soo much time to load back in the day! Ty and keep them coming!!!!

This looks, feels, and runs exactly like the original release of Tomb Raider II, only without the lag of having to wait for it to access your CD drive :D For reference, I’m running OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 on a Late 2013 MacBook Pro. 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5. 8 GB RAM. Runs perfectly. Now if only they’d release Tomb Raider III…

Wow, this takes me back. This is an awesome port. Seems to run smoothly on my machine.

While the graphics are outdated, this game is still a great one to play. I was glad to find TR II had been updated so it could run on the newer Mac OS. Everything about the game is great. The music is especially good adding to the over-all experience. Unlike the latest Tomb Raider, this game is Lara the way Lara was meant to be — tough. The puzzles are fun and by trying to collect all the hidden relics, the game stays fun when played multiple times. Best of all, look at that price. I’d way rather play this oldie version than the latest one. One of the first and still one of the best TR versions. Reading an earlier comment, they mentioned the audio wasn’t syncing in the video segments. That is true and my original game (played on the old system 7) had the same problem. Still . . . for $8, you can’t lose — well, depending on your play.

I got excited to see this game in the App Store and purchased it. I checked to make sure it would work on my 13” MacBook Pro with OS X 10.10 on the site that it specifies in the description, and it said it will run. Well it definitely does NOT run. I get as far as the menu and it responds to nothing. I can hit a key during the intro and it will recognize I did so and cut to menu. Because it acts like it’s idle even though I’m pressing keys, it will play quick demos of the game. But of course it responds then, when I press a key, and goes back to menu—but does not respond once again. What is the deal Aspyr? It takes you guys 3 business days to respond, and it’s the weekend so the wait time is unacceptable. I will just be asking the Mac App Store for a refund.

I bought this game originally for the Ipad and the controls for it were horrible and I bought it for the mac thinking it would be better. I was wrong. It’s hard for me to control Lara and I can’t seem to find where I can exit the game if I no longer want to play it. Overall for me this game’s controls are annoying. Please do some sort of update were we can use a ps3 controller or some kind of controller to operate the game!

Does anyone else have an issue getting out of the boat?????? I cannot seem to find out how I have pushed every key combination known to man

I love this game so much! It brings back lots of memories, I remember playing it when I was a littel kid and being glued to the screen whenever I played it. Glad it’s available on the app store!
